Today we reached div1 after just 363 days of playing. It has been quite an intense year, and I have enjoyed each and everyday of this journey :))
I have enjoyed the friendly community of OCM, and especially to be given some sound advice and encouragements by such confirmed teams as Yuri Super Team, Navarone cycling team, team Dustin or Holwerda Cycling, or to share beginner tips and a sense of emulation with Silenzio and other young and promising teams. The small French community has also been very welcoming and encouraging. Thanks to all of you !
I have found here the best game I have ever played, and can not count the unlimited hours spent elaborating the best team, the best tactics, the best use of money …

Special mention to Lanzo Lagorsone, who collected the Fast on Wheels GC jersey and also made it top5 on both Giro del Montelbano and Cymru Taith, and to Urmas Haapakoski who won the Cup of 4 rivers trophy and the Fast on Wheels Best Sprinter jersey.
Making it to div1 was made possible, in my own case, by adopting the ‘trampoline technique’ consisting in rebounding higher and higher from low divisions.
I started the game right at the middle of season 52 and reached Div5 after a couple of months, just as many other young teams do. After 3 months, I lost the first points I had rapidly scored in div11/10/9 at the very beginning, and decided to make the most of 3 bus drivers to register to 13 races in 11 days, jumping to div4 in that short period of time. Life was hard for my young team in div4 and I scored few points, which meant that 90 days later I was back in div7.
Another intensive use of the bus drivers coupled to 3 TF triggers made me jump to div3 in 6 days, at the end of season 54. Again, little points scored in div3 made me able to drop again in div7 at the end of season 55. Triggering 8 TFs at the same time propelled me in div2.1 in just 8 days and I was in the funny position of racing 4 races in very different divisions (div7, 6, 3, and 2.1) on the very last day of last season … I did not quite expect it, but I have regularly scored in div2 since then, with 6 different riders.
Money wise, I have tried to spare as much as I could (not spending on scouting for instance and never spent more than 200k to buy a rider) and invest regularly in staff, equipment and talent training. In one year, almost 2 M$ have been spent on staff, equipment and training.
Now my 43AV and 1.5M$-value team has landed in div1, where I will stay for at least 30 days, but I doubt we can score many points and much money here !
